Teche Woods Nature Trail
The acre behind the Teche Gardens Propagation Area has been developed into a nature trail that is open to the public every day, dawn to dusk. Visit on a Tuesday morning if you would like a guide to join you on this short 15-min walk.
Look for plant labels along the way and learn how these native species contribute to the ecosystem. An outdoor classroom clearing with benches is available for groups. Get in touch with our Education and Outreach team through mail@greauxnative.org if your group would like to walk the nature trail with a guide.

While ANPP volunteers go to lengths to maintain the trails for safety, there are some thorny vines, poison ivy and uneven surfaces. Wear closed-toed shoes and long sleeves and stay on the trails. The trail is not suitable for wheeled mobility aids and not completely fenced. Click here for a Before You Visit flyer describing accessibility.

The nature trail was made possible by a grant from the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area and the efforts of ANPP volunteers.
