Emma's destiny was probably clear
when she asked for a garden for her
sixth birthday. She gaduated from
LSU, Baton Rouge with a BS in
Horticulture in 1978. She then worked
as a naturalist in Missouri and
managed greenhouses in New
Orleans and Florida. She has been a
landscape contractor for many years.
Emma recently retired from Louisiana
State Arboretum after seventeen
years as a naturalist and horticulturist.
Now, she hopes to spend her
remaining days growing and
promoting native plants.
